Roy R. Kelly, III (RobBY)
Since beginning his law practice in 1974, Roy R. Kelly, III, (“Robby”) has been a general practitioner in Monticello, Georgia. His primary practice focuses on domestic relations, family law, real estate, wills and estates, and criminal law. He has represented individuals charged with both misdemeanors and felonies and has represented several clients that were facing the death penalty. Robby is an AV rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell.

Throughout his career, Rob has represented both individuals and companies in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, automobile wrecks, tractor trailer wrecks, product liability, commercial disputes and business disputes. He has been recognized as one of the top lawyers in Georgia being named as a Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine and Super Lawyers Publication, one of Georgia’s Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine and one of Georgia’s top AV rated lawyers by Martindale-Hubbell. Rob has spoken at numerous seminars about various trial practice topics and has authored a chapter entitled Recovering Damages in Georgia’s Civil Trial Procedure, LexisNexis Practice Guide, 2011-2012 Edition. Rob handles cases throughout Georgia in both State and Federal Court.

Cat joined the firm in August 2016 and focuses her practice on personal injury litigation. Specifically, she handles cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, automobile wrecks, product liability, as well as commercial and business disputes. Prior to joining Kelly & Kelly, Cat mainly handled civil cases representing both individuals and companies in cases involving collections and foreclosures. She grew up here in Savannah and attended St. Andrew’s School on Wilmington Island. While she loves to travel in her spare time, she always ends up back in Savannah.

Jennifer joined Kelly & Kelly in 2006 as a paralegal and provides dedicated support to Rob Kelly and Cat Derst. She plays a vital role at the firm and works closely with clients and their cases. She acts as the communication between the attorneys and clients and assists clients with answering discovery requests and guiding them through the litigation process. She manages the schedules and appointments which help prepare cases for depositions, hearings and trials, providing essential support during the trial process.

Betty began working for Roy Robinson Kelly III, (Robby) in 1992 as his legal secretary when he was a sole practitioner and went through the transition in 2006 when he and his son, Rob, went into partnership with Kelly & Kelly LLP. She plays a vital role in the firm and she provides dedicated support to Robby and works closely with clients and their cases and handles the communication and preparation of all documents involving real estate closings. She acts as the communication between Robby and his clients, and she manages his appointments and schedules.
